Director Wendy Carlin elected Fellow of the British Academy

Wendy Carlin, Director of CORE Econ and Professor of Economics at University College London (UCL), has been elected Fellow of the British Academy.

The British Academy is the UK’s national academy for the humanities and social sciences. On her election, Wendy joins a community of over 1,600 distinguished intellectuals, becoming part of the UK’s national academy for the humanities and social sciences.

Wendy said:

I’m thrilled to be elected as an FBA – I see this as recognition of the synergy between my research on the economics of institutions and how it can be applied to develop new ways of teaching economics.

Wendy is also Co-director of the Stone Centre at UCL, Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and external professor at the Santa Fe Institute.
